Last Post of the Unit

This is my sixth blog post ever. I never saw myself as one who would blog, but when it is necessary for a particular class to post numerous blogs, I figured I must begin this new adventure on blogger.com. All things considered, I really enjoy blogging. The process of blogging is fairly simple, but that’s not the best part. The great thing I discovered about blogging is the comforting length of writing required for each post. These posts need not be terrifyingly long. This discovery comes as a relief for someone (such as myself) who loses their attention span quickly. Within thirty minutes I can read, reflect, and respond to an assigned blog. Furthermore I can easily access the thoughts and reflections of my peers in order to grasp a greater and more complete understanding of the text. I thoroughly enjoy the blogging community of this class. It highlights the all-important social aspect of reading and writing in an informal manner. The most challenging aspect of blogging, personally, is the difficulty in trying to be original in my blog posts. With so many shared thoughts and so little variety in assigned reading (no offense), it is challenging to inspire original ideas. Additionally, uniqueness is dealt another blow when the entire class responds to the same blog post. As mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I entered the blogging world with an heir of caution. I was hesitant to read other blog posts because of the lack of credibility present on the Internet. My perception has changed. Now I realize that reading others’ blog posts can actually be informative, mind opening, and even a bit entertaining

  1. I liked how you mentioned being able to access your peers work because i totally agree on liking that!
I've also found originality to be a problem when I read other peoples posts first so I've found it a little easier to write my posts before reading other peoples!

  2. I never saw myself as one who would blog either! I do enjoy blogging too. Mostly because I prefer it to other types of assignments typical writing classes assign. I'm glad your enjoying this blogging community! I can definitely say I am still getting used to it.
